Polymath

Availability

Polymath v6.2 has been installed on all the computers in MacLean room 210, and the loaner pool. Additional installations may be arranged.

Polymath has the ability to export Polymath problems directly to Excel.

Problems can be solved completely in Polymath or a problem can be automatically
exported to Excel and then solved within Excel. In Excel, this is accomplished
for some problems by using the Solver Add-In and built in capabilities such as
LINEST. (You should make sure that your Microsoft Office installation includes
the "Solver Add-in" as an available Add-In from the Excel Tools/Add-Ins menu.)
For solution of ordinary differential equations within Excel, Polymath Software
has developed an Excel Add-In called the Polymath ODE_Solver. This must be
installed separately from the main Polymath installation. See separate
instructions on installation of the ODE_Solver.xla in the installation readme
file and in the HELP file provided within the Polymath software. This
ODE_Solver Add-In works for Excel in Office 2000, Office XP, Office 2002,
Office 2003, and Office 2007.
