Projectors and AV

To request projector or A/V services or to report a problem with these services, contact Instrument Room personnel.

Most classrooms and conference rooms have video projection. Some of our rooms have automated lecture capture built in (list below). We can set these systems to automatically record all scheduled classes or selected classes. You can request recordings by sending email to computing@thayer.dartmouth.edu. You can also get a video camera from the Instrument Room to record events in other rooms, but you will need to find someone to run the camera.

For some events, it makes sense to use Media Productions to record the event. They charge per hour and provide professional services with higher production quality than our fixed-camera automatic recording systems can provide. We recommend using Media Productions for conferences and symposia.

Instructions on using the new touch panel displays are at; AV Touch Panels

Note

Native resolutions are listed for each room. You will get the best performance and aspect ratio fidelity if you set your computer to this native resolution. Depending on the computer, how you connect it, and when you boot it, your computer may automatically set itself to that resolution.
