Dartmouth GitHub for Education

GitHub Enterprise includes two deployment options: GitHub Enterprise Cloud, which is cloud-hosted and part of GitHub.com, and GitHub Enterprise Server, which is self-hosted. GitHub Enterprise Cloud specifically includes:
  • 50,000 GitHub Actions minutes per month
  • 50 GB GitHub Packages storage
  • A service level agreement for 99.9% monthly uptime
GitHub requires Two-Factor Authentication for all users. 
Follow the guide below to set up 2FA on your account. 
You can use SMS, TOTP - Authenticator App, or a passkey.

Requesting an Organization setup

Please email computing@thayer.dartmouth.edu requesting an organization in the Dartmouth GitHub Enterprise instance. 

Shared Resources

  • 50,000 monthly minutes are shared between all organizations with the Dartmouth GitHub Enterprise instance.
  • 100 GB of Storage is shared between all  organizations under the Dartmouth GitHub Enterprise account
If you need additional resources, please provide a chart string along with the resources and max spending limits on those resources requested.
