Scan to Email
Scan to email can be used on any of the Konica Minolta printers at Thayer. Since the scanned document is sent via email, please be aware of the 20MB attachment size limit. Using 'Compact PDF' is the best bet for keeping the size small, however it can impact the quality of the scan. If you have a smaller document that needs to be higher quality, select the 'PDF' option (as opposed to the 'PDF Compact' option) at the Scan to Email screen.
Public copiers that can scan to email can be found in these locations:
- MacLean 128
- BHall (MacLean Basement)
- Great Hall
- Cummings 201 (Great Hall Balcony)
- Murdough 332 (MEM Space)
To use Scan to Email, follow these steps:
- Tap the 'Menu' button on the printer.
-
Tap the "Scan/Fax" option at the Menu screen.
-
You'll see a list of contacts that have been added to the machine already. If the email address you want to send to is there, just tap on their name and go to step 4. If you need to manually enter an address, tap on the 'Direct Input' option on the left, and then enter the address. If it's a Dartmouth email address, it should autocomplete the address:
-
After your destinations have been set, load the document into the tray feeder or onto the glass, and hit the green 'Start' button to send.
