Thayer Remote Support

Thayer Computing has the ability to support you on campus or if you are half way across the world. This document will walk you through how to get remote support through ConnectWise Control.

Connect With Windows:

To start a remote support session with Thayer Computing on Microsoft Windows, start by typing in the code provided by Thayer Computing in the prompt below. An example of the code would be 998750.
Once you input the code an application will download to your Downloads folder called ConnectWiseControl.client.exe , click on it and say YES to the prompt. Your Friendly Computing Services team will now be able to connect.

Connect With Mac:

To start a remote support session with Thayer Computing on Mac, start by typing in the code provided by Thayer Computing in the prompt below. An example of the code would be 998750.

Once you input the code an application will download to your Downloads folder called ConnectWiseControl.client.zip , click on it and it will place a red icon in the download folder. Click on the ConnectWise Control app in your downloads folder and it will give the following prompt:

Click Open

Your Mac may now ask you to enable a Kernel Extension. If it does click the button that says "Open System Preferences". You will be placed in the Security and Privacy menu, you should see an Allow button near the bottom of that menu. Once you click it Thayer Computing will be able to assist you.
