Here@Dartmouth (Virtual Couch Lab)
Here@Dartmouth is a platform for virtual public spaces at Dartmouth. You can access Thayer's space, the Virtual Couch Lab, at here.dartmouth.edu/thayer. This virtual space is open to anyone at Dartmouth to use any time and does not require reservation.
Each seating area on the Virtual Couch Lab map links to its own Zoom meeting. Click on a seating area and you will be presented with a link to join that Zoom meeting.
When you've joined a meeting, your Zoom photo will appear at that table so that others can see and find you, just as in a physical public space. Up to 300 people can join any given table.
Labeling tables
Once you have joined a table, you will be able to optionally add a label to tell others what's going on there. Click on the seating area again and now the info card will have a "What's going on at this table?" field at the bottom. You cannot label a table unless you are in that meeting. Labels automatically disappear when the table is empty, but you can also clear the label by entering no text in this field.
Hover over long labels to see the full text.
