Thayer Computing supports several useful tools available for working remotely. We have compiled a non-exhaustive list below of some of the ones we thought might be helpful. If you think something is missing that should be here, please let us know.

Remote Instruction
Lecture Recording - Lecture recording is available upon request in all classrooms at Thayer. Additionally, if you'd like to record lectures or demos on your own computer, please contact us for hardware and software that might be helpful.

Communication
Email - The easiest way to access email remotely is to log on to bwa.dartmouth.edu.
zoom.us - Web conferencing software for meeting remotely or avoiding face to face meetings when not necessary.
Slack - Instant messaging platform for groups. Available upon request. Contact computing@thayer.dartmouth.edu.
Access to Software and Resources
Dartmouth VPN - For securely connecting to on-campus resources from remote locations.
Virtual Computer Lab - For accessing Thayer Windows applications from your personal device.
FastX - For accessing Thayer Linux applications from you personal device.
